Introduction Nestled within Binhu Town in the western part of Tengzhou City, the Weishan Lake Red Lotus Wetland Scenic Area spans an impressive 90 square kilometers. Renowned as one of the most expansive, ecologically pristine, and visually stunning wetland areas in northern China, it holds the distinguished title of "China's Most Beautiful Wetland." The landscape is defined by a 55-kilometer shoreline, exceptionally rich biodiversity, over 100,000 mu (approximately 16,500 acres) of wild red lotus blooms, vast reed marshes covering tens of square kilometers, and a rare aquatic forest. This breathtaking scenery creates a perfect destination for experiencing the charm of a water town, immersing oneself in wetland ecology, enjoying panoramic natural vistas, and seeking a relaxing getaway.

1. Key Attractions Within the Wetland The scenic area is thoughtfully developed into several distinct zones, each offering unique experiences centered around its aquatic and wetland environments.

1.1. The Aquatic Botanical Garden As the largest garden of its kind in northern China, this 500-acre site is divided into two main sections and houses a collection of nearly a thousand species of aquatic plants from both southern and northern regions. It serves as a living encyclopedia of wetland flora. Visitors can observe diverse plant life forms, including floating-leaved species like the giant Victoria water lily (Royal Water Lily), foxnut (Gorgon fruit), and various water lilies, as well as emergent plants such as striped giant reed, arrowhead, purple loosestrife, and canna lilies. This garden is not only a visual delight but also an educational hub, offering valuable insights into wetland ecosystems, their crucial ecological functions, and the botanical significance of the plants they sustain.

1.3. The Lake Sightseeing Zone The heart of the wetland's beauty is best appreciated from the water in this zone. It encompasses vast expanses of red lotus flowers and miles of green reed marshes, centered around two main island groups—Panlong Island (Coiling Dragon Island) and Fishing Island. These islands sit within the vast, shimmering waters of Weishan Lake. The vista is a dynamic painting: miles of red lotuses in brilliant bloom, endless reed beds swaying in the wind, clusters of islands, bustling boat traffic, and white sails dotting the horizon. The area is further adorned with famous scenic spots like "Morning Melody at the Dock," "Sunset Glow over Weihu Lake," "Spring Dawn at Weihu," "Red Lotuses Bathed in Sunlight," "Evening Song of Fishing Boats," and "Snowy Reed Catkins," each capturing the wetland's charm at different times and seasons.

1.4. The Weishan Lake Wetland Museum This educational facility is dedicated to deepening public understanding of wetland ecosystems. Its exhibition halls are organized to guide visitors from a broad overview to specific contexts: * Prologue Hall: Introduces the theme and importance of wetlands. * World Wetlands Section: Explores the diversity, distribution, and global significance of wetland ecosystems across the planet. * China Wetlands Section: Focuses on the characteristics, types, and ecological value of wetlands within China, highlighting their national importance.

2. Practical Visitor Information 2.1.
