4. Planning Your Journey: Transportation Guide

Reaching Qianchong Ancient Ginkgo National Forest Park is most conveniently done by private vehicle. The following detailed driving directions start from Anlu City center:

  1. From downtown Anlu, head towards Anlu No.1 High School and the "small roundabout."
  2. Continue straight through to the "big roundabout" (near the Golden Key landmark).
  3. At the big roundabout, turn right (heading west past the Qiankun Grand Hotel) onto Huguo Road.
  4. Proceed straight through the next crossroads.
  5. Continue straight across the Fuhe River Dam.
  6. At the subsequent junction, keep straight (the right fork leads to Yanjian and BaiZhao Mountain).
  7. Maintain your course straight ahead onto the Yanying Highway.
  8. Continue driving through the town of Leigong.
  9. Keep going in the same direction until you reach Wangyizhen Town. Drive straight through the town.
  10. You will see signs for the old road to Wangyizhen; it is advised to continue straight on the main road.
  11. Continue until you see a sign indicating a right turn for Qianchong and Maohe. Remain on the main road and continue straight.
  12. You will eventually enter the scenic area. At this point, either fork in the road is viable.
  13. Heading north straight will lead you through Maohe Town and further on towards the core area of the Ancient Ginkgo National Forest Park.
