Pujiu Temple stands proudly atop the Emei Plateau, 3 kilometers east of the Puzhou Ancient City in Yuncheng, Shanxi province. With an elevation ranging from 29 to 31 meters, the plateau is embraced by cliffs on its southern, northern, and western sides, offering an expansive view. Covering an area of approximately 70,000 square meters, the temple, situated at the northeastern edge of the plateau, showcases the ingenuity and advanced architectural skills of ancient laborers.
Architectural Marvel: Positioned strategically to face south, Pujiu Temple is perched high, providing a commanding view. The layout reflects the wisdom of ancient builders, who harmoniously integrated the temple with the natural landscape. The original dimensions were 200 meters in width from east to west and 350 meters in length from south to north.
