It is always advisable to confirm the exact times for your planned date of visit. * Admission Fee: Entry to the Swan Lake scenic area requires a ticket, which is approximately 80 Chinese Yuan (CNY). Getting to Puzhehei Swan Lake
From Major Cities (e.g., Kunming): The most common and straightforward route is via long-distance bus. 1. Take a bus from Kunming East Coach Station to Qiubei County. Multiple departures are available throughout the day (9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, with fares around 114-137 CNY). Evening sleeper buses are also an option. 2. From Qiubei County, transfer to a local public bus (Bus #) bound for Puzhehei Scenic Area. These buses run frequently from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with departures every 30-60 minutes. The short 13-kilometer journey costs only a few yuan.
By Air (Less Recommended): The nearest airport is Wenshan Puzhehei Airport in Yanshan County. * Please note: The airport is over 80 kilometers from the Puzhehei scenic area. Upon arrival, you must first take a shuttle or bus to Qiubei County (a 31 CNY, 10-minute interval service from 7:00-18:00), and then transfer to the local bus to Puzhehei as described above. * This two-step process can be time-consuming. A more direct but costly alternative is to hire a taxi from the airport directly to Puzhehei, which may cost between 100 to 200 CNY.
Navigation Within the Puzhehei Scenic Area: The Swan Lake section is one part of the larger Puzhehei tourism zone. Upon entering the main scenic area, clear signage will direct you to the Swan Lake reserve.
