Tangshan South Lake
Tangshan Nanhu, an urban garden, is a magical place. Just a few years ago, it was a coal mining subsidence area and a large landfill, but now it has transformed into the largest urban central park in northern China that integrates classic scenery, ecological functions, historical culture, urban activities, sports tourism, and many other functions.
Nine longitudinal main roads connect the built-up areas and southeast clusters in the north and link to Tangcao, Tangbin, Tanggang and other expressways in the south, strengthening the connections between Nanhu Ecological City and built-up areas, Binhai New City, and Caofeidian. Four horizontal main roads enhance the connections between Nanhu Ecological City and Fengnan West Cluster.
Visitors can enjoy Nanhu for free and appreciate its beauty all day long from 06:00 to 22:00. However, the park stops admitting visitors at 21:30. With convenient transportation and ample time, there are countless activities waiting for you to explore.
Nanhu’s remarkable transformation embodies the concept of a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The once-desolate land has been revitalized, now teeming with life and teeming with visitors. Its ecological restoration serves as a model for other cities, illustrating the possibility of transforming derelict land into lush green spaces.
Moreover, Nanhu hosts various cultural and sports events throughout the year, attracting tourists from all over the country. It has become a symbol of Tangshan’s resilience and commitment to sustainable development, showcasing the city’s determination to rise from past challenges and emerge even stronger.
