Jinsha Island
Jinshadao, formerly known as Dawanggang, is located in the southwest of Leting County in the Bohai Sea. It is an arc-shaped sand island composed of 11 intermittently connected sand bars. The narrow island divides the offshore sea into inner and outer seas. The outer sea is characterized by its yellow sand and blue water, making it a natural island bathing beach. The inner sea is rich in aquatic products, with abundant fish, crabs, and shellfish distributed throughout the shallow waters, providing an ideal location for fishing and collecting seafood.
Every year in May and November, the graceful red-crowned cranes and grey cranes visit the island, and if you're lucky, you might encounter the rare grey-billed gull, a rare sight in the world.
Visiting Jinshadao typically takes more than three hours. You can reach the island by boat from Beigang Port or from Yuetuo Island. Ticket prices for Jinshadao are 60 RMB for an ordinary ticket, with discounts available for people from Ningxia holding valid identification, and free admission for seniors, disabled individuals, and children under 1.2 meters tall with valid identification.
Jinshadao is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00, with the last entry at 17:00. The island offers a unique experience with its natural beauty and rich marine life, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. So pack your bags, grab your sunscreen, and prepare to explore the wonders of Jinshadao!
