Zhaozhou Bridge
Dating back over 1400 years, Zhaozhou Bridge, also known as Anji Bridge, is the world's oldest existing stone open-spandrel arch bridge.
Ingeniously designed, the bridge combines architectural beauty, durability and utility. Legend says the entire Zhao County would be submerged if floodwaters reached the dragon's mouth carvings on the arch.
Consider visiting the Bridge Museum with a combo ticket. The nearby Bailin Temple can also be visited together.
Allow 1-3 hours to admire this ancient marvel. Call ahead for tickets.
Tickets are 40RMB. Students, minors and seniors get discounted tickets with valid ID.
