Tuoliang Scenic Area
Nestled where Hebei and Shanxi provinces meet, Tuoliang ("Camel Ridge") earns its name from the humped mountaintops dotting this diverse landscape of caves, springs, vegetation and waterfalls. With over 90% forest coverage and average summer temperatures around 19°C, it's deemed a natural oxygen bar and wildlife sanctuary.
A reprieve from Shijiazhuang's heat, Tuoliang's main draw is the Summer Icefall - the last remnant of natural ice to melt each year by mid-June. Experts confirm it as the final surviving natural ice in the Taihang Range, making it a fleeting natural wonder.
