Cangyan Mountain Scenic Area
Nestled 70km northeast of Shijiazhuang in Jingxing County, Cangyan Mountain Scenic Area showcases the breathtaking "Three Wonders of Cangyan":
1) The first wonder is the astounding "Bridge, Tower, Hall" built onto sheer cliffs, making it one of China's three greatest cantilevered temples.
2) The second is the bizarre exposed roots of an ancient sandalwood tree large enough to shelter a person inside its hollow trunk.
3) The third wonder is the "Ancient Cypress Pilgrimage", where thousands of cypress trees only grow facing the Princess Nanyang Temple.
Cangyan Mountain is also a famed filming location seen in Journey to the West, The Legend of Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, White Snake Sword, The Mummy 3, Chicken Feathers, Royal Doctor, The Taking of Tiger Mountain and Mulan.
