Berlin Temple was founded during the Jian'an period of Emperor Guangwu of the Han dynasty. Before Xuanzang's journey to India to seek Buddhist scriptures, he came to study with Daoshen, a famous monk, at this temple.

The main buildings in the temple include a gate, a pagoda, and a main hall, with a statue of the Buddha made of ten-ton white jade and gold. The statue is a representation of the Buddha Shakyamuni.

Every year, Berlin Temple holds a "Summer Camp for Lay Buddhists." Participants stay at the temple for seven days, participating in various activities such as morning and evening services, sitting meditation, listening to Buddhist lectures, tea-drinking and heart-to-heart discussions, and hiking.

To visit Berlin Temple, take the bus from Shijiazhuang Railway Station to Nanjiao Bus Terminal. Then, catch a direct bus to Berlin Temple in Zhao County.

Admission to the temple is free, but there is a cost for staying at the guesthouse, which includes meals. The guesthouse is open from 08:00 to 16:00 daily.

Please note that the temple is closed on Mondays.
