Subtitle: A Comprehensive Guide to Jinnao Mountain: Fujian's Alpine Paradise
1. Introduction to Jinnao Mountain Nestled on the border of Taining County and Jianning County in Sanming City, Fujian Province, Jinnao Mountain stands as a majestic peak in Southeast China. Originally named Dali Mountain or Taiyi Mountain, it earned its current name, meaning "Golden Cymbals Mountain," from a legendary tale of King Wuzhu of the Minyue Kingdom losing a golden cymbal while hunting here. With an elevation of 1,858 meters, it is revered as the "First Beautiful Peak of the Southeast" and the "Number One Peak of the Eight Min Regions," ranking among the highest peaks in the region, surpassed only by Taiwan's Yushan and Mount Wuyi's Huanggang and Xianglu peaks. The mountain stretches over 300 li (approximately 150 kilometers) and features 84 perilous and awe-inspiring peaks. Its main peak, Baishi Ding (White Stone Summit), cleaves the range into eastern and western flanks, characterized by sheer cliffs and rugged ridges respectively. Jinnao Mountain is celebrated for its four defining qualities: Uniqueness, Extremity, Elegance, and Seclusion.
