Getting to Wugong Mountain Alpine Meadow

The meadow is located within the expansive Wugong Mountain景区. The mountain has multiple access points, with the two main official entrances being in Anfu, Ji'an and Matian, Pingxiang.

1. From Pingxiang: * By Bus from Pingxiang South Station: Direct buses to Wugong Mountain run via Gaokeng, Luxi Shawan, Sankouyan Reservoir, Xinquan, and Matian, terminating at the Golden Summit Cable Car ticket office. * Schedule: 6:00 - 16:50 daily, departing every 20 minutes. Frequency may increase during holidays. * Fare: Approximately 18 RMB per person. * Journey Time: About 1 hour. * By Train to Pingxiang Station: Upon arrival at Pingxiang Railway Station, you can take a direct express bus from the adjacent long-distance bus station to Wugong Mountain. This route passes by West Sea Hot Spring and Fayunjie. * Fare: Approximately 22 RMB for the full journey. * Schedule: Operates from around 5:40 to 17:00, with departures roughly every 20 minutes.

2. From Ji'an Anfu (approx. 45 km from the mountain): * Direct Bus from Ji'an Railway Station: A daily bus service departs Ji'an Station at 6:30 bound for Wenjia, arriving at Wugong Mountain Hot Spring Villa around 10:00+. The return bus leaves the mountain at 13:00 for Ji'an Station. * Fare: Approximately 25 RMB. * Connecting Journey via Anfu: Take a frequent bus from Ji'an to Anfu county (every 30 minutes, ~15 RMB). From Anfu, transfer to a bus for Hukeng Town, which passes by Taishan Township (every 30 minutes, ~10 RMB). From these points, local transport to the mountain entrance is required.

Admission and Opening Hours

  • Ticket: Access to the alpine meadow is included in the general Wugong Mountain National Scenic Area entrance ticket. There is no separate fee for the meadow itself.
  • Open Hours: The meadow area is accessible 24 hours a day, every day of the year. However, access may be subject to weather conditions and cable car operating hours if you are not hiking the entire route.
