Dingxiang Ecological Tourism Area
Embark on a Tranquil Journey at Panjin Dingxiang Ecotourism Area
Nestled far from the urban hustle and bustle, Panjin Dingxiang Ecotourism Area captivates visitors with towering forests, serene tranquility, fragrant blossoms, and the delightful presence of over 200 bird species flourishing in this natural haven.
At present, numerous avian research institutions have chosen Panjin Dingxiang Ecotourism Resort as a prime location for observation and research. To avoid disturbing these charming creatures and to enhance the understanding of their habits, a bird-watching tower has been constructed on the northwest side of the forest. Equipped with an electronic monitoring system and high-powered telescopes, this tower provides a panoramic view of the birds' joyous lives from sunrise to sunset.
Visitors have the opportunity to engage intimately with the avian residents. The southwest side of the forest features a bird-feeding pond regularly stocked with small fish and shrimp beloved by the birds. A stroll along the bird-watching gallery by the pond allows for leisurely bird-watching experiences.
The unique geological features, vast reed beds, forests, rivers, tidal flats, marshes, ponds, ditches, and rice fields collectively form the distinctive natural landscape of this northern coastal wetland. The area comprises two major scenic zones: the Taiping River Scenic Belt (free admission) and the Dingxiang Agricultural Sightseeing Area (Bird Paradise + Reed Crab Beach).
Reed Crab Beach:
- A 2000-meter wooden boardwalk meanders through the reed sea, providing a refreshing experience of tides and bird-watching. Visitors can also enjoy a delightful boat ride through the reed sea, navigating the waterways while admiring the natural beauty of the Red Ribbon Base. Additionally, visitors can observe and even catch crabs at the crab beach (additional fee) while reveling in the playful antics of these crustaceans.
Bird Paradise:
- A nationally AAAA-rated scenic spot, Bird Paradise offers an educational journey through an agricultural science park, showcasing rice cultivation. Visitors can use electronic instruments and high-powered telescopes in the bird-watching tower to observe birds up close. The bird-watching gallery allows for a personal encounter with various bird species, while the Ecological Agriculture Sightseeing Park offers the opportunity to pick a variety of organic fruits and vegetables.
Taiping River Scenic Belt:
- Formed naturally by the Taiping River flowing through the group's territory, this area features lush forests on both banks. Visitors can take a boat cruise along the Taiping River, appreciating the natural scenery, strolling along the lush forested embankment, observing various flora and fauna, watching ducks and African geese play in the water, witnessing peacock displays, and participating in the release of animals at the release platform.
