Qixing Lake Desert Ecological Park
The Seven-Star Lake Desert Ecotourism Zone, situated in the heart of the Kubuqi Desert within the jurisdiction of Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, is a pristine oasis amidst the vast expanse of sand. Comprising seven lakes, with Zahan Daotu, Dong Daotu, and Da Dao Tu collectively referred to as Daotu Hai, this locale resembles three shimmering pearls nestled side by side in the boundless Kubuqi Desert. With crystal-clear water, lush aquatic vegetation, and sand dunes embracing its periphery, the setting is nothing short of magical. Due to its remote desert location and expansive area, navigating on foot only allows exploration of a minuscule portion of the zone. Hence, it is recommended to opt for self-driving or chartered transport for a comprehensive exploration.
The tourism zone showcases the purest essence of nature, eschewing excessive entertainment facilities, and meticulously preserving natural landscapes such as sand seas, sand dunes, and lakes. Visitors can bask in the tranquility bestowed by nature, bringing along their children to climb sand dunes, take leisurely strolls by the lake, and witness the mesmerizing desert sunrise and sunset during dawn and dusk.
Seven-Star Lake is also a habitat for various bird species, including thousands of nationally protected seagulls and the opportunity for visitors to observe daytime swans. South of Da Dao Tu Lake lies the high-end consumption area of the scenic zone, featuring a Mongolian-style garden comprised of villas and upscale yurts, offering accommodation and dining services to visitors.
