The mountain has several access points, with the two main official entrances being from Anfu County in Ji'an City and from Matian in Pingxiang City. Fayunjie is more commonly approached from the Pingxiang side as part of multi-day hiking routes.
4.1. From Pingxiang City This is the most frequented route for visitors aiming for Fayunjie, often as part of a longer trek. * By Bus from Pingxiang South Station: Direct buses to Wugong Mountain (heading towards the Jinping Cable Car) operate from 6:00 AM to 4:50 PM, departing every 20 minutes. The fare is approximately 18 RMB, and the journey takes about 1 hour. These buses pass through key towns like Matian. * By Bus from Pingxiang Railway Station: Arriving by train, visitors can take a dedicated express bus from the long-distance bus station near the railway station. This bus goes to Wugong Mountain via Xi Hai Hot Spring and, importantly, passes by the access trail to Fayunjie. The full fare is around 22 RMB, with buses running from 5:40 AM to 5:00 PM at intervals of roughly 20 minutes.
4.2. From Ji'an City (Anfu County) The route from Ji'an is less traveled for direct access to Fayunjie but is a valid alternative. * Direct Bus from Ji'an Railway Station: There is one direct bus daily departing at 6:30 AM from Ji'an Railway Station to Wenjia (near the mountain), arriving at the Wugong Mountain Hot Spring Villa around 10:00 AM. It returns to Ji'an at 1:00 PM. The fare is about 25 RMB. * Connecting via Anfu County: Take a bus from Ji'an to Anfu County (15 RMB, every 30 minutes). From Anfu, transfer to a bus heading to Hukeng Town, which passes by Taishan Township (10 RMB, also every 30 minutes). From these points, local transportation or taxis would be needed to reach the mountain entrance, from where the hike to Fayunjie begins.
