Experience an authentic tea ceremony in a local farmer's house, surrounded by the idyllic beauty of the tea plantations.
The afternoon offers leisure time exploring Hefang Street, Hangzhou's historic commercial center dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty. As evening falls, consider the optional Hangzhou Living Poetry Night Show (formerly Impression of West Lake) or explore the vibrant night market to witness authentic local life.
Day 3: Grand Canal Heritage & Traditional Crafts
Ancient Waterways and Artistic Traditions
Your final day explores Hangzhou's other great water system - the Grand Canal. Begin at the fan-shaped Grand Canal Museum, where you'll discover the canal's remarkable history and engineering. The highlight comes in the craftsmanship pavilion, where you'll create your own masterpiece by painting on a traditional oiled paper umbrella.
Witness artisans practicing ancient crafts including fan-making, teapot crafting, and scissor forging. Then experience the canal from the water during a scenic boat trip, followed by exploration of DaDouLu historic district and a visit to Xiangji Temple, an ancient temple dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty.
