Day 1: Arrival in Guiyang - Gateway to Guizhou

Upon arrival at Guiyang, our local guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and acclimate. For those eager to begin exploring, we recommend an optional evening visit to the historic Jiaxiu Pavilion, an iconic Guiyang landmark.
Day 2: The "Eye of Heaven" - FAST Radio Telescope Experience
Scientific Marvel and Cosmic Exploration

Today's journey takes us to one of humanity's greatest scientific achievements. After breakfast, we drive approximately 2 hours to the FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope), known poetically as the "Eye of Heaven." This monumental engineering feat represents the world's largest single-dish radio telescope. A 40-minute shuttle bus ride brings you to the observation platform for breathtaking panoramic views. Enhance your experience at the International Experience Planetarium, where immersive technology brings the wonders of our galaxy to life. Lunch is served at a local restaurant before returning to Guiyang.
Important Notice: Passports are required for ticket purchase. To protect the telescope's sensitive equipment, all electronic devices (phones, cameras, etc.) must be stored in lockers at the entrance. Daily visitor numbers are limited to 2,000.
Day 3: Into the Heart of Miao Country - Kaili and Village Life
Ancient Crafts and Traditional Architecture

After checking out from our Guiyang hotel, we journey 2.5 hours to Kaili, capital of the Southeast Guizhou Autonomous Prefecture. Our first stop reveals the ancient art of paper-making before we visit Boji Miao Village. The afternoon brings us to Qingman Miao Village, where we'll interact with local families and witness daily life preserved through generations. Marvel at the distinctive wooden stilt houses that characterize Miao architecture. The evening offers free time to explore Kaili's culinary scene, including the renowned Sour Soup Fish Hotpot (additional cost).
Day 4: Miao Cultural Diversity - From Kaili to Rongjiang
Long-Skirt and Short-Skirt Miao Traditions

Today's exploration begins with a scenic drive along the Bala River to Jidao Long-skirt Miao Village. Wander among traditional wooden houses and ancient waterwheels during a guided village hike. Our journey continues to Datang Short-Skirt Miao Village, nestled at the foot of Leigong Mountain. Experience the famous "block way wine" welcome ceremony and admire the village's exquisite silver craftsmanship. After lunch, we traverse Leigong Mountain, absorbing its majestic landscapes en route to Rongjiang.
Day 5: Primitive Cultures and Dong Grandeur
Basha's Unique Traditions and Huanggang's Charm

Accommodation: In Zhaoxing
Morning brings us to extraordinary Basha Miao Village, where men maintain ancient hairstyles and women create stunning costumes using egg-white techniques. Hike through this remarkably preserved village where modern influences remain minimal. We then visit Huanggang Dong Village before arriving at Zhaoxing, China's largest Dong settlement. Explore this magnificent village with over 800 households and five magnificent drum towers, each representing a different clan.
Day 6: Dong Village Trekking and Architectural Wonders
Hiking Through Living Culture

Begin at Tang An Dong Village, recognized as an ecological museum for its cultural preservation. Embark on a memorable 2.5-hour hike through stunning terraced landscapes from Tang An back to Zhaoxing. After lunch, visit Jitang Dong Village, celebrated for its pure post-and-beam wooden drum pagodas that represent the pinnacle of Dong architectural achievement.
Day 7: Farewell to Guizhou's Cultural Tapestry
Departure from Zhaoxing

After breakfast, we provide transfer to Zhaoxing railway station for your journey onward, concluding our exploration of Guizhou's scientific marvels and ethnic treasures.
