Pang Tong Temple

The Pang Tong Memorial Temple and Tomb is one of the earliest and best preserved Three Kingdoms sites in Sichuan. It is the only memorial dedicated to the politician and military strategist Pang Tong from the Three Kingdoms period. The complex also bears witness to the rise and fall of Shu Han rule.
The memorial consists of Pang Tong's temple and tomb. The temple hall houses a statue of Pang Tong along with other Three Kingdoms figures like Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, and Guan Yu. Visitors can see cultural relics and learn about Pang Tong's life.
The tomb lies 1.5 kilometers north of the temple. This is thought to be the original burial site of Pang Tong after his death in the Battle of Fancheng in 219 AD. The tomb was restored multiple times during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
