Lvshunkou Scenic Area
Close to the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea, Dalian's Lushunkou district stands as a witness to the recent history of the entire Liaodong Peninsula. Serving as the maritime gateway between Beijing and Tianjin and a natural barrier in Northeast China, Lushunkou has played a pivotal role in the region's modern history.
In 1880, during the Qing Dynasty, the Beiyang Fleet was established here, transforming Lushunkou into a military fortress. The Lushun Naval Port gained international recognition, ranking among the world's renowned five major naval ports at that time.
Beyond being a tourist attraction, Lushunkou is an essential part of the development of the Liaodong Peninsula. It serves not only as a scenic spot but also as a poignant reminder of historical events, emphasizing the importance of not forgetting the national humiliation suffered during that period.
For transportation, visitors can take bus route 13 to the Submarine Museum bus stop and then walk to the destination. The entrance fees vary, with the general admission ticket priced at 30 RMB and a separate fee for the immersive experience at the museum.
Lushunkou Scenic Area is open throughout the day, allowing visitors to explore the rich history and witness the enduring spirit of this historical landmark. Please note that certain attractions within the scenic area may have additional fees, and visitors are encouraged to inquire at the venue for detailed information.
