With rare alpine meadows in southern China, Xianren Mountain earns the nickname "Summer Mountain Palace", serving as Chongqing's retreat from the heat.

Dubbed the "Switzerland of the East", the seasons all have their charm - sledding in winter, horseback riding in fall, hiking in spring, and escaping summer in the mountains.

Accommodations range from farm stays to luxury hotels inside the park. At around 1,800 meters altitude, Xianren Peak features campsites in the high mountain grasslands. Bring warm layers for nighttime.

Buses from Chongqing take around 2 hours. From Wulong, direct buses take 1-1.5 hours. For the grasslands, alight at "Mudidi" then hike or take the train. For skiing, stop at "Huolongkou". Lose yourself in Xianren Mountain's idyllic landscapes.
