3. Getting to and Around Huatai

3.1. Reaching Jiuhua Mountain Huatai is located inside the greater Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. Visitors must first travel to Jiuhua Mountain. * By Train: Arrive at Chizhou Railway Station. Outside the station, at the Chizhou Central Bus Station, take either the Chi-Jiu Line bus directly to the Jiuhua Mountain (Kecun) Bus Terminal (approx. 50 mins), or the Chi-Qing Line bus to Wuxi (approx. 1 hour, ~6 RMB), then transfer to a minibus to Kecun Transfer Center (every 15 mins, 30 mins, ~4 RMB). From Kecun, you must take the mandatory scenic area shuttle bus. 3.3. Accessing Huatai Scenic Area Itself There is no direct hiking trail from the mountain base specifically to Huatai's core scenic spots. Access is gained via: * Primary Recommended Method: Huatai Cable Car. The most efficient and scenic route is to take the dedicated Huatai Cable Car from its lower station. This is strongly advised to save time and energy for exploring the high ridges. * Alternative Method: Hike from Tiantai. Experienced hikers can reach Huatai by trekking from the nearby Tiantai Scenic Area. This is a more strenuous and time-consuming option.

4.1. On-Site Navigation & Trail Conditions Upon exiting the Huatai cable car upper station, be prepared for an initial section of steep and somewhat strenuous steps and paths leading up to the main ridge walkway. Caution is advised, especially in wet weather. A good resting point shortly after this climb is the Jixiang Song (Auspicious Pine), where you can catch your breath and enjoy initial views. Once on the main loop trail, the paths are well-defined and signposted. Paying attention to these signs will prevent you from taking wrong turns.

4.2. Ticketing and Fees * Entrance Ticket: Access to the Huatai Scenic Area is included in the main Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area entrance ticket.
