Nestled 40 kilometers east of Benxi city, Tietsa Mountain stands as a magnificent range with a principal peak soaring over 900 meters, covering an expansive area of more than 20 miles. Renowned as the birthplace of the Dragon Gate sect of Daoism in Northeast China, Tietsa Mountain captivates visitors with its towering peaks, winding paths, and ancient, robust pine trees. The landscape is dotted with numerous caves, with the most celebrated being the Eight Treasures Cloudlight Cave.
Tietsa Mountain, often lauded as "an endless spectacle," comprises five main peaks: Yuwang Peak in the east, Lingbao Peak in the south, Taishang Peak in the west, Zhenwu Peak in the north, and the highest and most spectacular, Yuanshi Peak in the center. The mountain, when viewed from the southeast, south, and north, presents three peaks at a time, forming a mystical alignment of nine peaks and earning its moniker, "Nine Peaks of Tietsa Mountain."
In addition to the five main peaks, Tietsa Mountain boasts other notable features such as the Incense Burner Peak, Lion Peak, South Heaven Gate, North Heaven Gate, Qingyang Purple Energy Ridge, and Yaochi Golden Field Ridge.
Every year, Tietsa Mountain attracts numerous tourists from both near and far, with visitor numbers skyrocketing during traditional festivals, reaching tens of thousands.
