Day 2: Imperial Beijing - Heart of Ancient China

Begin your exploration at Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest urban public square. From here, step into the magnificent Forbidden City, the world's largest and most complete ancient imperial palace complex that served Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years. After enjoying authentic Chinese cuisine at a local restaurant, continue to the Temple of Heaven, where Ming and Qing emperors performed solemn rituals for good harvests. The evening offers an optional Peking Opera performance to experience this traditional Chinese art form.
Day 3: Great Wall Adventure & Journey to Chengde

After breakfast and hotel checkout, embark on a scenic 2-hour drive (140km) to the magnificent Jinshanling Great Wall. This exceptionally preserved section offers stunning views and excellent photography opportunities. Continue your journey (90km) to Chengde, arriving at this historic city renowned for its cultural significance and imperial summer retreats.
Day 4: Chengde's Imperial Mountain Retreat

Discover why Chengde served as the perfect summer escape for Qing Dynasty royalty. Explore the magnificent Chengde Summer Resort, the world's largest imperial garden, designed to provide relief from Beijing's summer heat. In the afternoon, visit the breathtaking Putuozongcheng Temple, often called the "Little Potala Palace" for its striking resemblance to its Tibetan counterpart.
Day 5: Temple Exploration & Return to Beijing

Morning visit to Puning Temple, constructed in 1755 under Emperor Qianlong's orders to commemorate the suppression of the Junggar rebellion.
