798 Art Zone
Located in Dashanzi, Chaoyang District, Beijing, 798 Art Zone, also known as Dashanzi Art District, originated from the 798 factory complex that was once home to state-owned electronics factories.
With its Bauhaus factory architecture, 798 attracted many artists and became a blend of repurposed factories and contemporary art, making it Beijing's art hub.
Today, 798 houses a diverse cultural complex of art galleries, cultural companies, bars, shops and more with a strong artistic ambience and regular exhibitions.
Allow at least 3 hours to wander this creative community. Take bus 403, 418, 593, 851 or 854 to Dashanzi South Station and walk about 461 meters.
Admission is free, but some individual exhibits charge fees. Open daily. Lose yourself in the vibrant Beijing arts scene at 798.
