Established in 1959, the Ranzhuang Underground Battle Memorial Museum stands as a testament to the valor exhibited during the underground warfare era. Initially part of the Ranzhuang Village, the museum underwent several transformations to align with the evolving times and mission requirements. In March 2004, the museum found its permanent home under the jurisdiction of the Ranzhuang Underground Battle Memorial Management Committee and the Patriotic Education Base Management Committee of Qingyuan County. This initiative, fully funded by the county party committee, operates as a department of substantive rank, with the museum director assuming the role of the office director.

The exhibition hall, constructed in 1991 and revamped in 1997, bears the artistic touch of General Yang Chengwu, who inscribed a plaque for the entrance. Within the hall, a treasure trove of revolutionary artifacts is on display, offering a vivid portrayal of the historical events through the integration of modern exhibition techniques such as sound, light, and electronics.

Preserving the integrity of combat structures like high houses, livestock troughs, ground surfaces, stoves, stone forts, and cabinets, the site also features reconstructed exhibits like the Ranzhuang Anti-Japanese Village Office and the Anti-Japanese Armed Committee.
