Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Qianshan, approximately ten kilometers southeast of Anshan City in Liaoning Province, the Wuliang Temple stands as a prominent Daoist sanctuary, also known as the Temple without Beams. Its name originated from its initial construction, which notably lacked beams. Founded in the sixth year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1667) by Liu Tailin, the eighth-generation disciple of the Dragon Gate sect of Daoism, the temple has undergone multiple renovations over the years.

Architectural Marvels: Wuliang Temple boasts a rich tapestry of architectural wonders, both inside and outside its premises. The key structures include Laojun Hall, Three Officials Hall, Cihang Hall, South Heaven Gate, Eight Immortals Pagoda, Ancestor Pagoda, and Gepo Pagoda. Laojun Hall, constructed in the early years of the Kangxi reign, has witnessed renovations during the Jiaqing, Daoguang, and Tongzhi eras and enshrines an exquisite statue of Taishang Laojun. Three Officials Hall, built in the twenty-sixth year of the Daoguang reign (1847), is dedicated to the worship of the Three Officials deities. Cihang Hall, formerly known as Cihang Pavilion, houses the sacred image of the Daoist sage Cihang Daojun.

Scenic Delights: The temple's surroundings are adorned with enchanting features, including the Gathering Immortals Platform, a stone platform with tables and stools where, according to legend, immortals used to gather. To the east of the platform, there are three pagodas dedicated to the Eight Immortals, Ancestors, and Gepo. Ascending the steps towards the west peak, visitors reach Zhenyi Hill, also known as Baidou Platform, a historical site where Daoist priests once paid homage to the North Star.
