219 Park
Located in the eastern part of downtown Anshan, the Two-One-Nine Park was established in 1950 to commemorate the liberation of Anshan on February 19, 1948. It stands as a prominent comprehensive park in the northeastern region, ranking as the largest urban park in Northeast China. With a total area of 1.12 square kilometers, the park features flower viewing areas, leisure and fitness zones, and a children's play area.
The park seamlessly connects the Mountain Scenic Area with the East Mountain Scenic Area. The Water Scenic Area comprises five artificial lakes of varying sizes, providing opportunities for boating and swimming. Along the lakeshores, you'll find picturesque pavilions, such as Yingbi Tower, Huancui Pavilion, and Yilian Bridge, creating a harmonious blend of mountains and waters with charming scenes of willows and blooming flowers.
The Mountain Scenic Area primarily covers the eastern mountainous region, boasting lush vegetation and winding pathways. With over ten scenic pavilions and a 38-meter-high Liao Mei Tower, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the entire city. The newly constructed amusement area, East Mountain Paradise, hosts more than 30 modern amusement facilities, including an aerial train, thrilling water rides, a water world, a giant ferris wheel, a Formula One racing car, and a pirate city, offering exciting and novel experiences.
Renowned as the "number one treasure under the heavens" and the world's largest jade, the 260.76-ton Xiuyan "Jade King" is now located in the southeast of the park within the Jade Buddha Temple. After meticulous carving, this gigantic jade Buddha is presented to the world in all its grandeur.
For transportation, you can take bus routes 2 and 5 from the station to reach the park easily. The park's contact number is 0412-5532439. Admission details can be obtained by contacting the scenic area directly. The park is open all day throughout the year.
